This teacher resource book is adorable! It is in excellent condition, considering how long I have had it! It is actually like new! I used it in my kindergarten classroom, and my students just loved it! I was first introduced to Dr. Jean Feldman and her music during a Title I Reading Workshop. Her music is incredibly fun and educational! This item is clean and comes from a smoke free home. This teacher resource book has a copyright date of 2001. The author is Dr. Jean Feldman, and the publisher is Scholastic. This book includes 12 delightful, easy-to-learn songs that are set to favorite tunes and have sing-along mini-books that teach primary concepts and build early literacy. Topics include, shapes, letters, numbers, weather, colors, days of the week, time, opposites and more! Children will sing, learn, read, and have fun with the irresistible songs on tape! The book has reproducible mini-books with song lyrics and cute illustrations that match the text. Once children learn the songs, they can read along in their own mini-books. This great resource book also has lots of creative activities to extend learning and get kids ready for reading! Kids will have so much fun with the songs and the accompanying mini-books that they will want to read all the time! And, the mini-books will allow children to have reading success. Children love music, and when you put music and songs together with reading, you have a win-win situation! The reproducible mini-books provide the song lyrics along with delightful illustrations that support the text. It would also be great to have in a household with young children! I am hoping to find it a good home.
